We are a group of people inspired by a truly remarkable

person: Kevin Garcia. Kevin did not have money, power or fame, but he had great influence through his ability to inspire every person he met. Kevin gave his help to family, friends, and strangers. Whether he helped with hurricane preparations, comforted someone mourning a painful loss, he spread  joy through his stories and jokes, or helped a little boy make sandcastles; Kevin truly cared about everyone.

He was humble, kind, understanding, generous and loving— all that we strive for in our own daily lives.  Kevin had the ability to look beyond a person's exterior, recognize his/her uniqueness and find the love, and compassion  that connects us all. The friendships and bonds he created with people were unforgettable, loving, generous and true.

Kevin was 17 years old when he passed away December 9, 2008. Rather than receiving flowers at his funeral, we collected toys as a more genuine commemoration of his life and spirit.  His family, friends, fellow students & teachers responded with an overwhelming outpouring of love and toys.  Since that initial toy drive, we have expanded our reach by hosting annual toy drives, sponsoring children with life-threatening medical conditions (Kevin's Little Legends,) providing holiday meals, stocking pantries and establishing the Kevin Garcia Scholarship Awards.

The truest testament to Kevin’s legendary love is the foundation's continued support by those that knew him and those who have come to learn who Kevin was. Our foundation and supporters are committed to continuing to spread the message of #LoveLikeKevin to all corners of the Earth!
